I purchased a brand new 2007 Harley Davidson Softtail Deluxe.  I purchased the bike for approximately $19 thousand dollars and financed another $2000 to get the bike piped.  I enjoyed riding my Harley for a month or so before deciding to bring my Harley back to Thunder Mountain Harley in Loveland, CO.  I dropped the bike off at the service center after selecting which pipes I wanted on the bike.  I was told that they would need to hold the bike for a week and a half before the work would be done.  No troubles I dropped off my brand new Harley to get piped at Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson.

I returned to Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson excited to get my motorcycle back with a new race tuner, inflow and pipes freshly tuned.  As they roll my motorcycle out on to the service floor… I look over to see the wrong pipes installed on my bike.  No troubles….  I understand people make mistakes… they went and got the parts sales representative and he owned up… “sorry man, I fat fingered by one number.” – Again no troubles… what do I need to do to correct it?  Please leave the bike here, we’ll reorder the pipes, reinstall and tune the bike.  How long will it take?  One week.  I drove from Loveland back to Denver and waited my 1 week.

I get a phone call a week later from someone at Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson … “Your pipes have been installed but we need to talk to you as soon as possible.”  - I called the shop to talk to the assistant to Mike V explaining that my motorcycle has been run into another bike.  Then explaining sorry man, this stuff happens it was an $8 an hour employee, what do you expect?!?!?!  What???  I expect that I drop my Harley off at the dealership… the largest dealership in Colorado…. TO GET IT BACK IN THE SAME CONDITION OR BETTER THEN I DROPPED IT OFF.  He further explained that I would have to wait for Mike V. to return before I could find out how they would take care of this issue.  My bike was then delivered in it’s damaged form to Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson in Denver, Colorado.  About a week later I get a call back from Mike V telling me he is “willing” to order a factory fender to replace the damaged part I asked him to compensate me for my time? NO! How about for my troubles? NO! How about for fucking up my bike not once… but twice?!?! NO!  I asked that he take the bike, told him he could repair the fender and give me a flat black paint job (was told $600)… NO!  So finally I said OK… give me the money for labor and parts, and I will have another shop order and do the labor…. Since I have lost ALL confidence in their  service department.  I was told NO?!?!?!?

Buyer beware… Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson Motorcycle located in Colorado doesn’t give a shit about the rider.  They have gotten too big… and don’t care about their customer.  I purchase a new bike every 3 years or so… and have never received such poor customer service and felt like my business didn’t matter.  I simply asked for an additional $200 for my troubles… and was basically told to f#$k off.  I don’t need the money…. I can buy another two motorcycles without any troubles.  I simply wanted to feel like I mattered… wanted to feel like they understood they messed up and instead got treated poorly.  So,  I warn all other Colorado Harley Davidson Riders, please take my warning into consideration… my bad experience.  I have attached links to the other dealerships in Colorado.  I have never had a bad experience at any other Harley Dealership… but I will warn anyone and everyone I talk with and tell them this story.    The only thing I request now is that other be warned and know that Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson in Colorado doesn’t know what customer service is, doesn’t care about your bike and treats their customers like crap.  My bike had 900 miles on it… and was handed back to me in worse condition than I gave it to them.
